Title: SUN using second SCSI bus

Date: March 12, 1995

Problem:

Pixel!SCAN is not seeing the scanner on SCSI bus 1 on SUN OS 4.1.x machines.

Cause:

Pixel!SCAN works on SCSI bus 0 by default.

Solution:

Follow these procedures to use the second SCSI bus on SUN OS 4.1.x machines:

  1. Edit the file $PIXELFXDIR/installDir/SunOS4/install_mxssd.2

  2. Change the line :

    printf( "tape mxssd%d at scsibus0 target %d lun 0 # scanjet scanner interface\n", i, i ); \

    TO

    printf( "tape mxssd%d at scsibus1 target %d lun 0 # scanjet scanner interface\n", i, i ); \

  3. Run Setup as described in the Pixel!FX Installation Guide.
